USB Missile Launcher | Owned by 203 people. Hey, I own one of these |
The launcher is around 22cm tall, about 15cm in diameter at the bottom, turns 180 degrees on the horizontal and angles up to 45 degrees vertically. The missiles themselves are of the foam variety and travel around 2 to 3 metres when fired, although strategically positioned on the high ground we got ours firing 5 to 6 metres. You need to insert three AA batteries in the base to power the movement motors and firing mechanism, and install the software before you are ready to fire. The software is simple, you can click the direction and fire buttons on the screen or use the keyboard to move and fire. The graphics on the software are a touch naff, and the sound effect of a missile launching is unconvincing but nonetheless satisfying when launching a strike on unsuspecting colleagues.
I love this toy. It is such a good idea, that any minor disappointments are completely obliterated when you launch your first inter cubicle missile barrage at that clown in accounting. The only issue is negotiating for the return of your missiles. The price is definitely at the high end of USB toys, (so look around before you buy) although in my opinion no price is too high for technological supremacy in the workplace. The idea is great, the packaging professional, and the product a must have.
